Sometimes you just have to lean it to your child’s natural need for exploration. Edie has been enamored with our fly swatter, which has been meticulously washed one too many times-for a fly swatter that is.
In my classroom, we often relied on the ‘if they’re exploring it, we can work with it” method. Most household objects make great substitutes for paint brushes or sensory tools.

Case in point: Fly swatter art:

I was impressed!

Edie and I went to the Hanna Andersson outlet today with low expectations, but couldn’t have been more wrong. The prices are incredible, and the selection was surprisingly good. We really like the basics (PJ’s, moccasins, hats etc) which they had an abundance of. All the PJ’s were $15, which we stocked up on (and matching ones for baby :).
Hope there’s one near you.

If it wasn’t for Oeuf and Eames I worry I’d have nothing to blog about. Lucky for me, new and wonderful pieces keep me blogging often and pining constantly. I love the original multi coloured hang it all (which graces E’s room above her book shelf) but this select edition is quite special. We have some antlers that house coats etc, which my husband loathes, so maybe he’ll be happier with something a little less dead more masculine like this one? If by some miracle and this baby turns out to be a boy (shock, never going to happen) I could picture this in his room. Oh, and if it’s a boy, I have not one boys name and can’t imagine what we could ever agree on. The girls we have narrowed down already, isn’t that a sign? Roll on 8 days.

Herman Miller Select, a once-a-year limited edition product release for those with impeccable taste and an eye for good design. Be it a once decommissioned piece culled from the Herman Miller collection, a classic that’s been fashioned of new materials and finishes, or a new objet d’art, the annual release is selected for originality and is signed and/or numbered for authenticity.
Inspired by Charles and Ray Eameses’ love for playful furniture and children’s toys, the Hang-It-All has been a favorite accessory for nearly six decades. In the home or at the office, this creation reinvented the everyday coat rack and gave true form to function.
The exclusive Select edition, with its black, welded-steel frame and solid walnut hooks, brings sophistication to this already eye-catching display. A complement to modern furnishings, the Select Hang-It-All will be a notable original to cherish for years to come.
Here are a few summer things I’ve been loving. Of course nothings a ‘must have’ but gosh, they all help in there own ways.

1. Davines MOMO conditioner. What a god send for my colour treated hair.
3. Gorjana earrings. Gold earrings are my pick me up these days.
Bringing milk on outings is always a bit risky now we’ve given up the formula, so I bought one of these lovelies to keep food and drinks cool (the mouse one:) So far so wonderful-easy to clean, keeps food cool, and an added little pocket for an ice pack.
Plus, there $13!

Rumour has it, that Bugaboo are currently in production on a double stroller. The other one is that they will be discontinuing their Frog line.
No release date as of yet, but I’ll keep you posted
hmmm…..

1. USN Peacoat
2. Trapper hat By Goorin
3. Long sleeve tee By Boden
Here are some fun products by P’kolino. We love their art supplies, just perfect for little hands. I’m quite fond of their easel too, although I would prefer it to be height adjustable. Edie test drove one of those little chairs in our local children’s shop and she loved it.
