Bobo Choses’ new spring line is just wonderful. Such a fun and whimisical blend of patterns, which literally tell a story (as each collection does);

Bonjour Camille

On Sunday mornings, as soon as the sun comes out,
Camille opens her eyes and puts on her battledress:
a tutu and a top hat. She has so many things to do:

Jumping on the bed until her mummy says THAT’S ENOUGH!
Eating loads and loads of cherries.
Hiding all the umbrellas.
Choosing a new favourite colour.
Giving names to the waves.
Asking the wind in a whispering voice to tell her a story.
Letting an ice-cream melt in her hand.
Drawing thousands of faces on thousands of balloons.
Yelling to the winter to go away.
Looking for something unexpected on a map…
But then Camille hears a voice from the other side of the door. Stop that jumping!

SHE HAS SO MANY THINGS TO DO!

Rompers.

I’m loving these new little rompers—although I’m sure they’re not ideal for the potty training kid.

Here are some cuties for your perusal

1. Nellystella $106

2. Peek $68

3. Ella Moss $80

4. Gap $30

No you didn’t…..yes, I did.

Edie will begrudgingly happily be wearing this to Easter egg hunt in this year. I am dangerously walking the pageantry line here people. Currently available at gilt.com

The Jansport bag of Sweden! We just got a canary yellow full size one, and couldn’t be more smitten. I’m pretty excited about it hanging on my hang-it-all, as the pop of colour is much needed in my house. Oh yeah, it’s also functional :) but who cares about that?

We are about to make the very difficult decision to buy a (gulp!) mini-van. I really want to be able to get the kids out curbside, get the new 5 star safety rated vehicle,  and also have the option of extra guests in the car (ummmmm, and a dvd player). Just saw this video which makes the decision easier

I was cruising around The Gap yesterday, and their new spring line is quite pretty and subtle. The little raincoat is ridiculously cute in person, and I’m certainly enjoying the idea of boys in comfy legging type pants.

Bennett House by brinca dada is an oasis in the sea of glitzy toy houses. Heavily influenced by the De Stijl movement of the early 20th century, it emphasizes lines, squares and rectangles in asymmetrical patterns while minimizing color. Fans of Rietveld’s Schröder House will recognize another influence. Architect and brinca dada Design Principal Tim Boyle explains how Bennett House breaks out of the townhouse genre: “Townhouses are typically a stack of floors with a few windows on each floor, and no inside/outside relationship. I prefer architecture that reveals structure and engineering, hence windows extend past floors to show the weight and thickness of the structure.”

Bennett House is more than just a pretty façade—its clever design and use of space invites play whether open or closed. The townhouse features a two-story living room, elevator, roof top pool and glass rail balconies in both the master bedroom and children’s bedroom. Solar-powered LED lights make for play by sun or moon. And Bennett House is made of CARB-certified woods and non-toxic, lead-free paints and stains, so it is easy on the environment.

Isn’t this lovely? I love the legs on this, such a nice mid century touch and a welcome departure from the chunkier cribs of late.  I’m not a huge Dwell fan, but this is the nicest crib I’ve seen in quite a while. I’d be interested to see if they make a toddler bed eventually.

I’m in love with this little Dutch line of clothing. It’s perfectly simple with a grown-up sensibility. E just wore this dress today and looks ridiculously cute in it. I have a giant baby, but I still think the sizing runs a bit small.
